I'm so happy to have your support and encouragement in this NEW venture to begin a Family Journal. The idea actually came from comments made by President Eyring in his last conference address. With our family scattered from coast to coast now, it will be the boost we need to stay connected. And so we begin......Yeah!!!!
We can share news of the month, personal successes and accomplishments, highs and lows, comings and goings, services shared, silly and sacred, ponderings and principles.....whatever you'd like. I'm sure we'll figure it out as we go. Let's each commit to a monthly entry and we'll have QuITe a SToRy!!!!
Hummmm: In our FaMiLy, we are in to.... LoVE, sHarinG, PrAyeR, LeARniNg, SilLy and SeRioUs,
ResPecT, a LOT of NoiSe, HugS and KiSSes, JOY, pEaCe, ForGiveNess, SelF-ConTroL, PATiENCE, KiNdNeSS and GooDNeSS, GeNTleNesS, FAiTHFulNeSS, and SaCriFiCe and HaRd WorK. Am I forgetting anything????? We have such a GREAT, GREAT family and I am crazy in love with each and every one of you. You bless my life and brighten my days.Wouldn't it be great to come up with a Power Scripture? Perhaps you could talk about it in your families and each make a suggestion in your next entry. Then we could choose our favorite. (Hummm! That is something I could hear our Sailor saying :)
Well, just jump in and get started. Hopefully, MY computer skills will improve with practice!
I thought I'd begin by letting you see "my world" today!
We've just had quite a snowfall and up until I walked out the door to take the picture, there were LOTS of birds ATTACKING their dinner. I love it. I don't often get to spy on the them. Where did they go?
A quick flight across country and 'days in the life of Dyers':
This is actually my favorite picture. Look at those adorable kids.
They had made this flashy, fun sign and were waiting. I was so busy looking for the gate to pick up my suitcase that I didn't even SEE them. Then I heard this exuberant, "Nana, Nana, Nana, Nana" and there they were.
It was astonishing!!!! A lady standing nearby and watching the entire event declared...."I wish I was their GRANDMA!!!"
It was truly a moment!!!!
Here's a brief look into life in Naples for the Dyers.
Super star at 6!!! What a great, tough little guard he is. He looked so cute running up and down that court and finding just the right spot to be. |
A day at the beach. Just can't turn off that smile!
Dinner and a movie thanks to Brett |
I think I've reached my limit of frustration. I have lots to learn about this program and attempting to present a 'pretty picture'. It is WAY past my bedtime.
When I discovered YOUR posts night before last, I was simply overcome with joy. I'm so grateful for all that you shared. I know this will be a great source of strength and connection for our family. Thank you for your efforts and encouragement. I know I will want to take more and better pictures.
